LEARNING TO TREASURE GOD’S WORD – A STUDY OF PSALM 119

Kathie Morrissey

Psalm 119 is a Psalm that glorifies God and His Word.  Out of 176 verses, there are only five that don’t refer to the Word of God.  This study, intended for grades 4-12, will encourage your kids to love God’s Word, as well as learn the results and blessings that come from knowing and keeping His Word.

This ebook has 118 pages, and is a 22-week study.  Instructions and lesson plans are included, so your student knows what to do daily.  Parents can also use this as a family Bible study or devotional, or if you desire to use it with younger children, you can work through it with them.  When you purchase this ebook, you have permission to  make copies for each of your children, so you don’t have to order multiple copies.

Each week the lessons will include reading a section of Psalm, highlighting words in that section, then doing workbook pages for the section, memorizing a verse, and filling in a chart.  The chart shows names used for God’s Word, what we are to do with it, and what the results or benefits are.  Lessons will take about 10 minutes a day.

This is a very simple, easy- to- incorporate method of giving your kids a love for God’s Word!

TWO choices available:

  1. One for All Versions, with only references given, so you can choose the version of your choice.
  2. One written from the  King James Version with text and verses for memory written out and included.

Biblical Masculinity

Jerry Ross

Biblical masculinity has all but disappeared in the modern day culture.  Satan has systematically targeted the tenets of Biblical manhood, eliminating them one by one from our society.  As a whole, we no longer are rearing young men.  Thank God there are exceptions, but they are simply that–exceptions.  The church of Jesus Christ must scripturally define, and purposefully re-instill the character qualities of Biblical masculinity back into our boys and young men.The Bible principles found in this book are the result of a study of what the Word of God has to say concerning “young men/man”.  From this study we observe twenty-one tenets of Biblical masculinity.

For this study, we are  defining a “young man” as a male between the ages of 12 and 30 years of age.

*Young men should learn from aged men the four disciplines of Christian maturity.  (Disciplined Thinking, Reputable Living, Pure Convictions, Excellent Speech)

Biblical Feminity

Jerry & Sheryl Ross

Biblical femininity has all but disappeared in our modern culture.  Satan has systematically targeted the tenets of Biblical femininity, eliminating them one by one from our society.  However, many Christian young ladies are turning their hearts to God, their backs to the world, and reclaiming their Biblical heritage. The Bible principles taught in this book are a result of a study of what the Word of God has to say concerning “young woman/women”, “damsels”, “daughters”, and “maidens”.  From this study flows twenty-one tenets of Biblical femininity.

For the purpose of this study, a young lady is defined as a female between 12 and 30 years of age.

The book concludes with a covenant for young ladies to sign before God to choose to live by these 21 principles of Biblical femininity.

passionate parenting

Passionate Parenting

Cary Schmidt

Parenting is work.  Parenting is tough.  And, contrary to popular expectations, it gets harder as kids get older.

Passionate Parenting is about pursuing the heart of your teenager (and child) and helping that heart fall in love with the heart of God.  It all begins with examining your own heart as a parent.  It begins with being passionate about your own relationship with Jesus Christ and His will for your life.

Then it overflows into a passionate, heart-focused, parent-teen relationship that is built on authenticity, transparency, laughter, godliness, and growth.

The teen years are the best years of parenting.  But for many families, they are the worst.  (Often because they neglected following many of these ideas when the kids were young!)  For many they are nothing more than years of distance, brokenness, hurt, and regret.  This doesn’t have to be your family!

If you’re up for the challenge of becoming a passionate parent – if you long to enjoy the teen years, and you’re ready for some tough but rewarding work – then dive in!  This book will equip you for the journey.

Praying Down the Path of Your Child’s Life

Tom Bishop

Our prayers for our children allow God to accomplish His purpose in and through their lives. One of the most powerful ways to pray, is to pray God’s Word back to Him. The prayers in this book are written from Proverbs and Psalms. They will address most of the issues your child will ever face. Those from Proverbs are written especially in a format to be prayed for our children. In most cases, the verse is simply turned into a prayer. At other times, the principle or idea from a verse or a group of verses, is expressed as a prayer. Each prayer gives a reference so that it can be compared with the Bible, if desired. The prayers are written with strong verbs, asking our Father to work powerfully in our children.

 3elements

The 3 Key Elements of Successful Parenting

Dr. S.M. Davis

There are 3 key elements in successful parenting that work together to help parents produce wise, godly children. These may also be called “The ABC’s of Successful Parenting”.

A – Always win in training the child to obey.

The parent, not the child, must be the winner in every contest of wills. A teenage rebel is often the product of a child who was not made to obey.

B – Be gentle.

Firmness must be balanced with gentleness or it easily becomes harshness. David said “Thy gentleness hath made me great.” Greatness in a child is produced by gentleness in his parents.

C – Consistently be consistent.

Parents must not “start and stop.” They must stand together so that children know it is not possible to “pit one against the other.”

 ccharts

Chart #1 – “Excellence in Character”

This chart is a great way to measure and check progress and growth in your kids’ character. It has a column on the left to list the qualities you want to focus on. Put the name of each child across the top of the page. Then each time you notice a child demonstrating a particular character quality, put a mark under his or her name for the quality. Have a day and special time each week that you recognize and give out rewards. Choose one quality and see who has the most marks for that quality at the end of the week. We give the winner a certificate and a ribbon . Start over each week and choose a different quality for reward time.

8 1/2″ x 11″ – $1.00 each

ccharts

Chart #2 – “Growth in Character”

This chart is used by an individual child to chart his/her growth in character over a period of time. On this chart the same character qualities are listed on the left as on the “Excellence” chart, but the quality is followed by several squares which are to be filled in as the child “grows”. When he accumulates 5 marks on the “Excellence” chart, then he can fill in a square on the “Growth” chart. This will be an encouragement to you and your child as you watch him grow! It will also be helpful in identifying the strengths of each of your children.

8 1/2″ x 11″ – $1.00 each
