It’s the time of year that the homeschool BLAHS usually begin!
Are you feeling it? That lack of excitement about another day of teaching and training your kids, or maybe you just feel tired and irritable. Maybe you feel like you are in a homeschool slump, and don’t know how to get out if.
Do any of these describe you?
- Feeling unmotivated when it comes to school
- A lack of joy
- Dreading another school day
- Physical fatigue
- No vision for your homeschool,
- You want to quit.
If you’re feeling this way, it’s common to have the thought that you are the only one struggling, and all the other moms seem to be cheerful and on top of everything.
The truth is that we ALL have days when we struggle with the homeschool blahs. That mom who seems to have it all together has bad days just like you. The one who seems cheerful all the time has her times of discouragement, just like you. (She just hides it well!) The homeschool slump is something that all homeschooling moms have to deal with.
So what should you do when you are feeling this way? Knowing you’re not alone is encouraging, but it doesn’t solve the problem.
It is important that you know how to respond to those feelings when they come, and have a plan of how to overcome them so you won’t stay in the homeschool BLAHS state. Those who don’t have a plan of how to pull themselves out of the slump will often be the ones who throw in the towel and give up on homeschooling. Let me help you with a plan!
Don’t be one of those who gives in to the homeschool BLAHS, and decides that homeschooling is no longer for you!
