One of the best things you can do at the beginning of your school year is focus on building Godly character in your kids. Good character lays the foundation for academic success.
The most important job we have as homeschooling parents, is preparing our children for life. The best way to do that is to teach the development of Godly character, while also modeling it in your daily life.

If your child is taught nothing but character, he will be better prepared for life than those who are taught pure academics but no character.
Godly character is the most important fruit that you can nurture in your child’s life.
Because intentional character training is so important, I’m hosting a 30 day blog party on the topic of Building Godly Character In Your Kids. The party is intended to motivate and encourage you.
When I was at the HEAV conference in Virginia, I presented a workshop about Training Character in Your Kids. Before the workshop, I had several moms come and tell me that they were coming to my workshop, because their kids didn’t have very good character.
I felt that way often when my kids were younger, but realized that character training is a process that takes time. It also takes planning and being intentional, which is what this party is all about.
If you are looking for practical encouragement and tips to help you train your kids in character, this party is for you!
The party will include the following for the whole of month of September:
- Daily posts by various bloggers
- Tips for teaching the Top 10 Character Traits
- Tips for different ages & stages
Be sure to sign up so you don’t miss any of the posts or giveaways!
