Your success or failure in the Christian life is dependent upon how much of God’s Word you regularly get into your heart and mind. Seeking Him consistently and regularly is the most important thing you can do to gain wisdom as a parent, and should be your top priority.

However, as busy moms, often the first thing that we tend to neglect is our daily time with God and His Word.

Moms in the Word

Let me make a confession!

As a teen I had been taught the importance of daily spending time in prayer, and reading God’s word. Therefore, it was a habit to spend time alone with God each morning. However, as I started having children, I began to have a little difficulty being faithful to my quiet time.

As a mom, I knew it was vitally important that I read God’s Word and pray daily. Therefore, I kept trying different things. Getting up before the kids didn’t work. Without fail, one of them would get up too.

Nap time didn’t work too often, because I usually needed a nap.

Unfortunately, there were many days when I fell into bed exhausted at night and realized I’d never read my Bible that day.

Perhaps you have struggled with this problem too, or still do.

Most of us are busy and when life is jam-packed in the season of parenthood, it’s hard to know how to fit in time with God.

What if I gave you easy steps to getting started again and keeping at it? You CAN do it, and you NEED to do it!
